Iran-backed Houthis confiscate homes of residents south of Sanaa

The Iran-backed Houthis continue their barbaric campaign against the residents of Saref village in the Bani Hashish district, south of the Yemeni capita Sanaa.

Tribal sources told Khabar Agency that heavily armed groups on board military vehicles and crews of the Houthi continued for the fourth day in a row to storm dozens of homes of the residents of Saref village and confiscate valuable properties.

The Houthis also confiscated the residents' farms in the valleys of Saref village as part of their systematic military campaign against the residents, imposing a suffocating siege on the village for the past few days. The sources added.

The sources said that the Houthi campaign aims to find a justification for looting the residents lands, their farms and their properties due to its high value as it is adjacent to the capital, Sanaa.

This comes a day after Houthi gunmen killed the citizen Bakil Shubih in front of his family while he was trying to prevent them from storming his house in the village of Saref, then looted the house and kidnapped one of his sons.

Since their takeover of Sanaa in September 2014, the Houthis have looted and confiscated the lands and properties of citizens in the areas under their control.
