Joint Forces Secure Strategic Site in Lahij Amid Intensified Airstrikes

Joint forces have successfully recaptured a strategic military position in the Al-Madharibah front of Lahij Governorate following decisive clashes with Houthi militias, supported by a series of intensified airstrikes across the Lahij, southern Taiz, and western Taiz fronts.

Field sources confirmed that the joint forces established full control over the Al-Ahnab Al-Abyad mountain in Al-Madharibah district. The operation followed fierce combat that forced Houthi elements to retreat, resulting in significant personnel losses and the destruction of several military vehicles. During the engagement, forces captured a Houthi sniper and seized a .50 caliber weapon, while precision fire from joint units neutralized additional militia combatants.

Concurrent with the ground offensive, warplanes and unmanned aerial vehicles conducted a series of strikes targeting militia gatherings and positions east of Al-Madharibah and Ras Al-Ara. Key targets included the Al-Fasm area and the Al-Abdar mountain bases, where several combat vehicles and pieces of military equipment were destroyed.

Operations continued into the afternoon as fighter jets targeted Houthi reinforcements in the Al-Hujariyah and Al-Maqatirah fronts. Airstrikes focused on militia movements in Al-Khabil Al-Yamani, Alqama, and the periphery of Jabal Mabdar, while aerial surveillance remained active to monitor and neutralize further hostile activities.

The command of the Fourth Military Region confirmed the direct destruction of a Houthi military vehicle on the Al-Madharibah-Bab al-Mandab front. Officials stated that ground and aerial operations remain ongoing to thwart militia threats and secure the contact lines along the southwestern sector.
