Yemeni Government Forces Advance in Taiz, Capture Houthi Fighters

Yemeni government forces announced on Tuesday a significant territorial advancement on the Jardad front, located in the southern part of Taiz Governorate, resulting in the capture of several Houthi militia fighters.

Military officials confirmed that units from the 7th Mountain Infantry Brigade, operating under the Tur al-Bahah axis, successfully secured key strategic positions overlooking the Wazi'iyah District. The operation, conducted with the support of local popular resistance forces, marks a tactical shift in the ongoing regional conflict.

The Jardad front holds substantial strategic importance due to its geographical positioning between the Wazi'iyah and Ash Shamayatayn districts. By controlling these elevated vantage points, government forces have effectively strengthened their defensive and offensive capabilities in the western sector of Taiz.

During the intense clashes, government troops reported the detention of multiple Houthi insurgents. The military command highlighted that the operation is part of a broader effort to consolidate control over critical supply routes and restrict militia movements in the province.
