Yemeni Emergency Forces Seize Major Arms and Explosives Shipment

Yemeni Emergency Forces intercepted a significant shipment of weapons, ammunition, and explosives during a security operation conducted between the governorates of Marib and Hadhramaut.

In an official statement accompanied by visual documentation, the Emergency Forces reported that their units successfully intercepted a vehicle transporting the illicit cargo. The operation followed a tactical engagement with smugglers, which resulted in the disabling of the suspects' vehicle and left two security personnel injured. The authorities have since secured the vehicle and its contents for further investigation.

The seized cache included substantial quantities of ammunition for medium and heavy machine guns, along with various automatic rifles, including Kalashnikovs. According to the provided video evidence, the shipment also contained grenades, specialized munitions for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and various explosive materials and tactical belts.

The Emergency Forces, specifically the First Division, maintain a strategic presence across parts of Marib and the Hadhramaut plateau, patrolling the international highway that connects the two regions. The division currently operates its command center from the al-Ruwaik area.

At the time of the report, officials had not disclosed the intended destination of the weaponry or the specific faction slated to receive the shipment.
