Houthi Militia Raids Home of Journalist in Al-Makha

Houthi militants have raided the residence of journalist Abdulwahab Nimran in the 2nd of December City, located in the Al-Makha district of Taiz Governorate, seizing his personal property and vehicle as part of an ongoing campaign of intimidation across the western coast.

Local sources reported that the Iran-backed militia forcibly entered the property by damaging doors and discharging firearms before conducting a thorough search of the premises. The militants proceeded to dismantle and remove furniture, personal belongings, and equipment from the journalist's home.

The incident is reportedly part of a wider series of raids targeting the homes of civilians and professionals affiliated with the National Resistance in areas under Houthi control since September 9. Beyond the seizure of household goods, the militants also confiscated Mr. Nimran’s private vehicle.

Human rights observers have condemned these actions, highlighting a pattern of systematic property confiscation and looting carried out by Houthi forces in the region. These reports of state-sanctioned theft continue to fuel widespread concern regarding the security and rights of residents living under the militia's authority.
