Three Houthi Militants Killed, Injured in Armed Clashes West of Taiz
Yemeni government forces announced on Saturday the killing and injury of three Houthi militia members during clashes that erupted in the Al-A'neen front in Jabal Habashi district, west of Taiz Governorate. This incident follows the thwarting of an infiltration attempt on the eastern front of the city the previous day.
A field military source, citing government forces, reported that the confrontations in the Al-A'neen front resulted in the death and injury of three Houthi militia elements following direct engagements between the two sides.
On Friday, government forces had successfully repelled an infiltration attempt by Houthi militia elements in the Al-Kureifat area, east of Taiz city. The objective of the attempted infiltration was to seize several military positions and establish control over them.
Clashes ensued after the infiltration attempt, involving the use of various types of medium and heavy weaponry. These engagements led to casualties, including fatalities and injuries, among the Houthi militia ranks, in addition to material losses.
