Yemen's Hais and Jabal Ras Tribes Pledge Fighters for West Coast Fronts

Tribes from the Hais and Jabal Ras districts in Hodeidah Governorate have declared their readiness to reinforce the West Coast fronts with fighters, affirming their support for efforts to restore state institutions.

A statement issued following a tribal gathering confirmed the tribes' backing for all initiatives aimed at ending the Houthi militia's coup and reinstating the government. The gathering called upon national forces to set aside differences and unify their ranks against the Houthi agenda.

The statement emphasized the critical role of the military institution in defending the nation's sovereignty and confronting Houthi escalation, which it described as Iranian interventions aimed at transforming Yemen into a base for threatening international navigation and the security of neighboring countries.

Participants in the gathering urged the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to expedite the necessary procedures for operating Al-Mokha International Airport. They highlighted its importance as a vital gateway for alleviating citizen suffering and fostering civilian movement in liberated areas.

The statement accused the Houthi militia of causing the closure of Sana'a Airport, asserting that they exploit the suffering of Yemenis as a tool for political blackmail. It further alleged that the militia seeks to obstruct peace efforts and prolong the crisis in the country.
