Aden Bolsters Security After Criminal Investigation Building Attack Attempt

Aden's security forces deployed reinforcements around the Criminal Investigation Department building in Khormaksar district on Monday morning following an attempted infiltration by armed individuals. The attackers sought to free a young man and woman apprehended earlier.

Security sources reported that the detainees were found in possession of a quantity of alcohol and were intoxicated at the time of their arrest. They were subsequently taken to the Criminal Investigation Department for legal processing.

According to the sources, a group of armed individuals gathered outside the building and attempted to force entry, pressuring security personnel for the release of the detainees. This incident prompted the urgent deployment of additional security forces to secure the premises and prevent any interference with ongoing investigations or disruption of public order.

The sources confirmed that the security situation is now under control. They emphasized that security agencies refused to yield to any pressure and are proceeding with the legal procedures for the detainees, who will be referred to the relevant authorities upon completion of the investigations.
