Yemeni Security Forces Apprehend Suspect Following Assassination of Seiyun Prosecutor

A senior judicial official, Judge Mubarak bin Nasser bin Sumeida, was assassinated by unidentified gunmen in Seiyun, Hadramout Governorate, on Monday evening.

Local reports indicate that the victim, who served as a member of the Seiyun Court of Appeal prosecution, was targeted while inside his vehicle. The assailants opened fire on the judge before fleeing the scene immediately following the attack.

In a rapid response to the incident, security authorities announced that the perpetrator had been apprehended within hours of the assassination. Officials have yet to disclose the identity of the suspect or provide further details regarding the potential motives or the specific circumstances surrounding the crime.
