Senior Houthi Commander and Three Relatives Killed in West Coast Clashes

A prominent Houthi commander and three of his relatives were killed during intense fighting on the West Coast front earlier this September, according to local sources and activists.

The deceased commander, identified as Majd al-Din Hamid Ali al-Hamzi, was killed alongside three of his kinsmen: Khalil Ali Saleh Khalil al-Hamzi, Mohammed Ali Ahsan Jarallah al-Hamzi, and Yousef Yahya Ahmed Mohammed al-Hamzi. All four individuals hailed from the Sahar District in the northern Yemeni governorate of Saada.

Reports indicate that the group perished during escalating armed confrontations in the West Coast region. Sources noted that the Iran-backed militia initially maintained a shroud of secrecy regarding their deaths before eventually confirming their identities.
