Yemeni Government Forces Report Significant Gains Against Houthi Militants Across Multiple Fronts

Yemeni government forces launched a series of extensive military operations on Sunday, successfully securing strategic positions and repelling Houthi infiltration attempts while inflicting substantial personnel and material losses on the militia.

According to the Yemeni Armed Forces Media Center, the operations spanned multiple axes, with significant activity reported in the Al-Barh front west of Taiz. Government troops initiated a coordinated three-pronged offensive that resulted in the recapture of key positions in the Kadha area. Simultaneously, forces successfully consolidated new defensive positions across the southern districts of Al-Hudaydah governorate.

In a separate engagement, government troops thwarted a Houthi infiltration attempt in the Al-Dhabab front, located west of Taiz. Military sources confirmed that the ensuing clashes resulted in more than 20 Houthi casualties, including both fatalities and injuries, alongside the destruction of several armored vehicles and military equipment.

The ground operations were bolstered by a series of precision airstrikes conducted by government air assets. These sorties targeted Houthi concentrations and logistics hubs in Al-Barh, southern Al-Hudaydah, and the western outskirts of Ma'rib. Furthermore, strikes hit militant positions in the Al-Labnat and Al-Alam areas, as well as the center of Al-Jawf governorate, further degrading the group’s operational capabilities.

These developments reflect an ongoing escalation in hostilities, as government forces continue to execute both offensive and defensive maneuvers. These strategic efforts aim to reclaim key territories and curtail the Houthi militia’s ability to mobilize and reinforce their positions along the front lines.
