Yemeni Armed Forces Report 81 Military Operations Against Houthi Targets
The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Thursday that they carried out 81 military operations against Houthi positions, personnel, and equipment over the past 24 hours across multiple frontlines.
Colonel Majed Abdullah Al-Nazeeli, the official spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, stated that these operations resulted in the neutralization of several Houthi field commanders and the destruction of vital military assets. According to the military statement, the strikes were conducted in direct response to repeated Houthi attacks on civilian infrastructure and the group’s ongoing obstruction of oil exports via Al-Dhabba port.
Al-Nazeeli emphasized that the disruption of oil exports has severely impacted state revenues, hindering the government’s ability to pay public sector salaries. He further accused the Houthi militia of serving external agendas and engaging in regional conflicts, which he claimed has led to the degradation of critical facilities, including Sanaa International Airport and key Red Sea ports.
The military spokesman detailed a pattern of Houthi aggression, noting attacks on civilian targets such as Al-Makha port, the Al-Ardi anchorage in Bab al-Mandab, and residential areas housing displaced persons in Marib. He characterized these actions as a deliberate policy of siege and starvation, contrasting this with the government’s issuance of over 350 permits for commercial vessels to enter Houthi-held ports since the beginning of 2026 to alleviate humanitarian suffering.
Concluding the briefing, Al-Nazeeli affirmed the military's commitment to defending national sovereignty and protecting citizens. He noted that the recent operations demonstrated enhanced coordination among various military units, which he claims has disrupted Houthi decision-making capabilities. The government remains focused on restoring state institutions and reclaiming control over Yemeni territory to end the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
