Clashes Resume in Taiz Fronts; Government Forces Shell Houthi Positions

Government forces and Houthi militants engaged in renewed clashes across multiple fronts in Taiz Governorate on Saturday, accompanied by artillery shelling targeting Houthi positions, according to military sources.

Sources indicated that government artillery bombarded Houthi-held sites in the Al-Dabab and Ghurab fronts west of Taiz city, the Al-Salu front in the south of the governorate, and positions in the Moqbanah front in the western countryside. This action was reportedly a response to Houthi shelling of government military locations.

The sources further reported that air defense units intercepted Houthi drones in the Moqbanah front, as tensions and engagements persisted across various combat axes.

In a related development, reconnaissance teams observed the Houthi militia launching rockets from Jabal Oman in the Al-Hudaydah region, east of Taiz city, towards the Red Sea.

These developments occur amidst ongoing military tensions in the Taiz Governorate fronts, characterized by reciprocal shelling and repeated Houthi attempts to target government positions with drones and missiles.
