National Resistance Thwarts Houthi Infiltration Attempt South of Hodeidah
The National Resistance announced early Sunday that it had thwarted an infiltration attempt by Houthi militia targeting its positions in Jabal Dhabas, south of Hodeidah Governorate, following clashes between the two sides.
The military media wing of the National Resistance reported that its units detected movements by Houthi militia gunmen in front of the positions of the 14th Infantry Brigade in the Jabal Dhabas sector. The resistance forces engaged and directly clashed with the militants.
The clashes concluded with the Houthi elements being forced to retreat and flee the area after sustaining direct casualties. The National Resistance did not provide a specific toll of the losses.
The southern Hodeidah fronts periodically witness intermittent confrontations, with ongoing infiltration attempts and reciprocal shelling between the Joint Forces and the Houthi militia. This occurs despite the UN-brokered truce, which has reduced the intensity of military operations compared to previous years.
