Yemeni Sources Warn of Houthi Military Buildup on Multiple Fronts

Military sources reported a major Houthi escalation, with reinforcements and weapons deployments to frontlines across Yemen.

Defense Line, a military affairs platform, stated that the group has sent heavy weapons, ammunition, and vehicles to confrontation zones, signaling impending military action.

The militia has increased drone activity for reconnaissance and attacks, targeting government positions in Marib, Al-Jawf, Taiz, Hodeidah, and Lahj.

Simultaneously, Houthi engineering teams are building fortifications and trenches near contact lines, particularly in western Marib and southern Hodeidah.

Combat reinforcements are being moved toward the fronts, raising fears of large-scale clashes if unchecked. Observers note this escalation follows a period of relative calm amid international peace efforts, casting doubt on the group’s commitment to negotiations.
