An Iranian ship loaded with drugs seized in eastern Yemen
The Yemeni Minister of Interior said that the security services seized an Iranian ship loaded with drugs in eastern Yemen.
Minister Ibrahim Haidan stated that the security services in Mahra managed to seize an Iranian ship with six people on board, 5 of whom had Iranian nationality and another with Pakistani nationality, as they were unloading narcotics on the coast of Hawf District.
The Minister did not mention the date of the seizure and the detention of the sailors on the ship.
In November 2020, the Coast Guard forces in Mahra Governorate announced the seizure of a smuggling ship carrying six Iranian sailors and another with Pakistanis.
