Yemeni Government Forces Secure Kahboub Front in Dawn of Yemen Offensive

Yemeni government forces announced on Wednesday that they have established full control over the strategic Kahboub front near the Bab al-Mandab Strait, marking a significant advancement in the ongoing military operation dubbed "Dawn of Yemen."

The operation, led by the Dera al-Watan forces in coordination with the Giants Brigades and Joint Forces, successfully cleared the remaining pockets of Houthi militia presence in the mountainous regions of Lahj Governorate. Official media channels released footage documenting the progression of government troops as they consolidated their positions in the area.

Tribal sources confirmed that the joint military units, supported by local Al-Subaiha tribesmen, reclaimed the mountainous border area of Barh al-Masrakh. This territory serves as a critical junction between the Al-Alma district in Taiz and the Al-Madaribah and Ras al-Ara districts in Lahj, further strengthening the government's defensive perimeter.

On the Dhubab front, the Giants Brigades reported the seizure of Houthi military hardware that had been deployed during a failed offensive against government positions earlier this week. The tactical success was bolstered by precision airstrikes targeting Houthi concentration points, including the mountainous areas of Dhi Ahdah, al-Bazilah, and al-Mashjab in the Wazi'iyah district of western Taiz.

Additional aerial bombardments struck Houthi gathering sites in Wadi al-Maqam and the Al-Shaqira region of the Wazi'iyah district. These coordinated military efforts reflect a broader strategy by the Yemeni government to regain lost territory and diminish Houthi influence along the volatile Western Coast and the vital maritime corridor of the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
