Family Dispute Ends in Sibling Deaths in Sanaa

Two brothers were killed in the Al-Amiri area of Al-Jadr district, north of Sanaa, in a tragic incident stemming from a family dispute that culminated in murder and suicide. The deceased have been identified as educator Khaled Muthanna and his brother, Hassan.

According to local sources, Hassan Muthanna opened fire on his brother, the educator Khaled Muthanna, resulting in the latter's immediate death.

Sources further reported that the perpetrator, upon realizing the gravity of his actions and seeing his brother bleeding, was overcome by shock and despair, leading him to take his own life at the scene.

The incident has cast a pall of grief and astonishment over the residents of the area, who are reeling from the shocking event that claimed the lives of both siblings simultaneously due to a domestic disagreement.

Homicides have reportedly increased daily and unprecedentedly in the capital, Sanaa, and areas under Houthi militia control, amidst difficult living conditions faced by residents due to years of Houthi appropriation of salaries.
