Yemeni Government Forces Secure Strategic Positions in Western Taiz

Yemeni government forces successfully seized full control of the strategic Mount Numan summit and the Dar al-Kafir hill in the Al-Wazi'iyah district of western Taiz early Friday following a specialized military operation against Houthi insurgent positions.

A military source confirmed to the Saba News Agency that the operation was executed with the coordinated participation of the Sixth Brigade of the Nation's Shield, the Giants Brigades, and local popular resistance forces. The rapid offensive effectively dislodged Houthi militants, who were forced to retreat toward the city of Al-Shaqira, the administrative center of the Al-Wazi'iyah district.

The military source stated that these field developments are part of broader strategic plans designed to reinforce and secure government positions across the western fronts of the governorate. These maneuvers aim to establish firm control over critical high ground while simultaneously restricting the operational mobility of Houthi forces in the region.
