Iran-backed Houthis arrest 31 people in Yemen's Ibb
The Iran-backed Houthis carried out on Friday a new campaign of arrests targeting dozens of mostly educators in the Al-Sadda directorate in the province of Ibb, central Yemen.
The Houthi leader, Ali al-Washli raided several homes of citizens in the center of Al- Sadda directorate and its outskirts with a number of armed groups, and arrested 31 people in response to their celebration of the national holiday on September 26th. Local sources said.
Among the detainees, the majority of them are educators: Ameen Al-Ashoul, Abdul-Ilah Al-Yajouri, Ahmed Abdu Hussein Al-Mughni, Ghaleb Ali Shaizer, and Abdu Ahmed Al-Duwairi." The sources added.
The Houthi campaign is still ongoing at the moment.
Meanwhile, the Houthi militia launched campaigns in other provinces, including Dhamar and Sanaa, targeting political leaders, writers, and activists who called for celebrating the September 26 revolution, in desperate attempts to extinguish the flame of revolution within them.
