Yemeni Forces Thwart Houthi Infiltration Attempt on Lahj-Taiz Border

Forces affiliated with the Nation Shield, supported by the Giants Brigades, successfully repelled an infiltration attempt by Houthi militia members along the Al-Madaribah-Al-Wazi'iyah front, located between the governorates of Lahj and Taiz.

The Nation Shield media department reported that the engagement took place on Wednesday as government-aligned units intercepted the militia's movement. During the ensuing confrontation, security forces captured two Houthi fighters and inflicted multiple casualties among the remaining insurgents.

This incident occurs amidst a broader escalation of hostilities in the region. Recent reports indicate intensified military activity, including an explosive device attack in Hadhramaut that resulted in the death of one soldier and the wounding of three others, as well as the downing of a Houthi drone in Lahj.

The military landscape remains volatile, with ongoing skirmishes reported on the Kahboub front near the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait. Government forces continue to maintain a defensive posture, reporting the destruction of Houthi military vehicles and the targeting of militia concentrations across northern Marib fronts.
