Explosion of Houthi Remnants Kills 4 Children, Wounds 13 in Al Dhale

Four children were killed and thirteen others were wounded, some critically, on Monday after an explosive remnant from the Houthi militia detonated in the village of Al-Ribi, north of the Hajar district in Al Dhale Governorate.

Local sources reported that the explosive device detonated unexpectedly while the children were in the area. The incident resulted in four fatalities and thirteen injuries, with some wounds described as severe based on initial reports. The explosion has caused widespread panic and grief among the village residents.

According to the sources, the injured children were promptly transported to the field hospital in the Sanah area to receive immediate medical attention and necessary treatment.

The administration of the Sanah Field Hospital issued an urgent distress call, which was shared by local activists. The appeal urged citizens to immediately head to the hospital to donate blood in an effort to save the lives of the injured, some of whom sustained grave and critical wounds.

Al Dhale Governorate is among the Yemeni governorates significantly affected by the remnants of war, including mines and explosive devices. In past years, these hazards have led to the deaths and injuries of dozens of civilians, including children and women.
