Yemeni Government Forces Repel Houthi Attack in Taiz, Killing Eight Militants

Yemeni government forces stationed in Taiz announced on Tuesday that they successfully repelled an offensive launched by Houthi militants on positions located along the Kalaba front, northeast of the city, resulting in significant casualties among the attackers.

A military source from the Armed Forces Media Center stated that government units engaged the Houthi militants in the Al-Safa area of the Kalaba front following intense clashes. The confrontation involved the use of various heavy and medium-range weaponry as government forces moved to secure their defensive lines.

According to the military source, the engagement led to the deaths of eight Houthi militants and left at least 15 others wounded. In addition to the human losses, the militia sustained damage to their military equipment before being forced to retreat under pressure from government troops.

The front lines across Taiz province continue to experience intermittent volatility. These clashes frequently occur between government-aligned military formations and Houthi forces, who are reportedly supported by advisors linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
